Whirlpool Duet

Biscuits and gravy…Oh…and some ‘nanner puddin’ too.

So this a.m., Mr. G. and I went to pick up our new washer and dryer in the sticks of NW Houston…we got a kick ass deal on a fairly new set of Whirlpool Duet from a family that just bought a new house without gas hookups.   Sad for them but GREAT for us…:)  The cool thing was that the guy told us about a lil’ breakfast place to hit up on our way home called the Harris County Smokehouse – http://www.harriscountysmokehouse.com/  and that we did…

All I seem to have been doing since I’ve arrived back in Houston is eat, eat and then EAT some more…I’m gonna to become as big as a house with all this eating…but it gets better when I tell you WHAT exactly I did eat for breakfast…

Upon arrival, the smokehouse smell wafted out the door and all I could think about was BBQ – but it was 10:30 in the MORNING!!!  So upon review of the menu – decided to do the 2 egg breakfast with homemade biscuits, but while I was in line, I saw the freshly made (good ol’ white trash dessert of my upbringing) – Banana Pudding complete with vanilla wafers…yeah, what of it???  I ordered some…as well as asking for a side of cream gravy to dip my biscuits in…

Mr. G. surprised the hell out of me, in all his Britishness, ordering the Eggs and Brisket…yes, Barbecue Beef Brisket…it made me giggle.

Our meal was awesome and we sat surrounded by deer heads and a few jackalopes as well…see photo below:

Eggs left little to be desired…but I ate my yummy biscuits and gravy – picking at Mr. G’s brisket and ending it all with the creamy goodness of my puddin – even sharing a few bites with him – now that is true love!!! :)

P.S. I will make sure to post a most EXCELLENT banana pudding recipe soooooooooooooooooooooooon…always a crowd pleaser!!!
