I was cruising along in my google reader when I was stopped dead in my tracks by this fun and playful post by http://onceinabluemooniris.blogspot.com/. She had made this incredible grape cluster out of bread and it was wonderful. When the holidays rolled around I decided to try to duplicate her as well as a new twist. Warning my feeble attempt does not compare with what she created but it was fun trying and the family loved it.
This was very simple all I did was get basic rolls from the fridge section of the grocery store and played with them until I got the shape I wanted.

How adorable is that!!! I am so doing that next holiday season. I love your blog - so many interesting tidbits!
That’s a fun idea for something different. It’d also be something great for the kids to do.
That’s cool. The possibilities are endless.
It reminds me of how I used to carve Sara Lee Pound Cakes to make my kids’ birthday cakes. Very versatile!!
It was fun that is for sure and not that I started this I am sure that at every holiday gathering from here on out the “bread” will match the theme of the occasion!!
