Tag I am it - A little insight into ME

I was tagged by an 2 amazing bloggers - Kay over at Dutch Girl Cooking.. http://www.kayotic.nl/blog/ and Camille over at http://croquecamille.wordpress.com/ If you have not checked out their sites I would get over there ASAP - after of course, you read this post. Over at Kay’s site, I have fallen in love with her recipes. Her photos leave my mouth watering and inspire me to work on my photo skills (or lack of photo skill :)) and Camille’s site puts a smile on my face daily as she reminds me of my amazing honeymoon in France.

So here goes 7 things you do not know about me… Some of which I forgot about myself until this tag…

1) When I was an infant I was Kodak baby of the year.. and then I grew up.

2) I am very newly obsessed with food and cooking really only within the last year or so. I must admit this is very hard for me to mentally manage my new obsession sometimes as I need to be very aware of my weight battle that I finally won a few years ago - Going from almost 210 lbs to 150 lbs was no easy task and I need to work to keep those lbs in check each and every day… You amazing kick-ass foodies are making this very difficult ;)

3) I have 2 Brothers and a sister who I totally adore.. in fact my middle brother is really a best friend. We have always had a special connection and there are times I really think we are living in each-others brains.

4) I do not read books as they are an instant Tylenol PM for me. Don’t ask me how I managed to graduate from college with honors. I think this fact is really what has kept me from going back to school to get my MBA.

5) I wanted to be a professional golfer but since I did not take the game up til later in life that hope was dashed - But I can still dream..

6) I do not wear makeup other than eye makeup. I grew up as a latch key kid and never really had proper guidance or direction in that area. Even today, truly I am not sure where to start or how to apply without looking over done. YIKES, OK now that is a revealing fact :)

7) I always wanted to be a singer but if you have ever heard me sing Happy Birthday you would understand why that career path was not an option ;)

8) I wanted to save the best for last - My Great Great Grandfather is one of the founders of the Mormon Temple in Utah - Martin Harris…I was not aware of this until I was in my 30’s as he is on my Mothers side and both her parents died when she was a child she and my Aunt were raised by their Fathers Jewish side of the family. Therefore they never knew of their roots or heritage. It was only when she went to Utah to learn about her heritage that this was uncovered. Her mother came to California with thoughts of being a Hollywood starlet and never talked about the 11 brothers and sisters she left behind in Utah. This was a shock needless to say.

So this is a glimpse into me and some things that you might not have known… In an effort to get to know some fellow Bloggers better I am passing that tag baton to a few other wonderful Bloggers - Hope that you will play along. So TAG YOUR IT!!

Love the photos on Kay’s blog. Love the tuna melt on Camille’s!

Food bloggers definitely make it hard to stay thin, don’t they? ;) I’m glad you discovered a real love of food though. There’s always something new to try.

That’s a crazy story about your great great grandfather!

Love these little known facts. Reading makes me sleepy too, but I love me a good book.

Thanks for the nod/tag. I will get to this as soon as I get home from Mexico!

    Heehee…

But really, it’s so fun to read that stuff… the weight loss - I am fighting the same battle of maintenance, but I was never a Kodak baby. I mean, I COULD have been {i’m sure}, but I just wasn’t. :)

    I’ll get this up… in a near but non-specific time :)
